The Conversation

The word “conversation” feels warm and inviting. It is made up of two words that actually broaden the definition. 1. Con, meaning against and 2. giving verse, which means the process of putting into words. One abridged dictionary calls a conversation, “differences dwelling together.”

Our culture is not practiced at conversation. We do “pro” versation quite well. We don’t often listen to each other and engage each other.

The Conversation is an attempt by CURE (Chicago Urban Reconciliation Enterprise) to have us engage in positive ways by inviting guests to engage each other for the sake of understanding. We will invite friends and leaders with different perspectives and experience to share stories and engage with those present about matters of faith and culture.

The Conversation is held once a month on a Tuesday, Usually the 3rd Tuesday of the month, Between 11:00am-1:00pm

Lunch is provided, a $10 donation is requested to cover catering costs.
