The CURE Leadership Conversation Retreat is for urban leaders and developing leaders to engage deeply with one another around the ideas of Transformational Leadership. Those involved in racial righteousness, youth ministry, church/organization leadership, conflict resolution/management and other forms of leadership will find this experience very encouraging and challenging. This retreat will value open and genuine conversation, and the ministry of hanging out. If you are looking for a chance to connect and learn together with other urban leaders this is a great opportunity.

Dates: Thursday May 3rd - Sunday May 6th, 2012

Location: International Teams USA - Elgin Ministry Center, 411 W. River Rd. Elgin IL. 60623

Cost: Registration for the Conference is $150. The fee covers program cost, and 3 continental breakfasts

(Fri-Sun), and 2 lunches (Fri-Sat). Dinners and housing are not included in the registration fee. An “early bird” rate of $125 will apply for anyone who registers before March 7th, 2012

This year’s theme is EPIC Leadership. EPIC Stands for Empowering People Inspiring Change

EPIC talks about the spirituality, chemistry and strategy of leading healthy missional change, and equips leaders with the necessary tools. EPIC also explores the inner life of the leader and how to be a nonanxious presence while leading through the turbulent waters of change. Many pastors and lay leaders lead change from the seat of their pants. EPIC helps us to think through the process of change sequentially from beginning to end. EPIC does not tell churches or organizations what to change, but how to change…and how to change in a way that is civil, compassionate, and Christ-honoring.
